Aranson's anger and intensity is believable, and his powerful voice overshadows the two younger actors. The character's compassion and occasional pangs of guilt are never realized, however. Leonard and Walker also have problems showing any sort of emotion other than apathy and disgust.
THE BOTTOM LINE: One evokes compassion, another fury at injustice, and a third worldly laughter -- all cause for cheers.
In the end, North House, no matter how much it wants to preserve its atmosphere, should have more compassion. If North students are determined to limit access to their house, then they should petition for some interhouse rules--we hope some lenient ones. Whatever the case, they shouldn't intimidate...
