...would like to call attention to the communication on the subject of cricket, which appears in another column. It seems to us that the writer's stand is well taken, his views well expressed. Why should the noble games of base-ball, foot-ball and tennis, admirable enough in their way, no boubt, why should they usurp all the available turf the whole time? Why, as our corressondent remarks, could not the cricket eleven be allowed the use of the ground on Holmes Field for at least one afternoon in the week, for matches if not more practice...
