...Sayre, Jr., a graduate of the class of '98, was shot and killed on the evening of February 18, being mistaken for a burglar while trying to enter his own house. Sayre was born in Central City, Colorado, and was twenty-five years old. He entered College in the fall of 1895, and during his Sophomore year became an editor of the Advocate.
