...Medical Schools, but here they are easily explained. The standard of these schools has been directly raised. In the Law School the falling off has been entirely in the number of special students. It has been caused by the regulation which requires all except graduates of certain specified colleges to take examinations for admission. In the Medical School the loss is due to the requirement of four instead of three years' residence. It is also worth notice that the figures given for the Medical School do not include the graduates who register later, when their courses begin...
