Princeton's new baseball cage is nearly completed. The original plan has been enlarged, and the cage will now measure 180x60 feet thus giving plenty of room for the nine and athletic team. The running track will be a large one with only twelve laps to the mile. Work on the new athletic building has progressed rapidly during the Christmas recess. The roof is entirely boarded saye the openings in the main roof and the cage which have been left for windows, while the roof covering the tank and the north side are slated. The masons have nearly finished laying the brick in the tank, and are also engaged on the fire-place at the entrance. The boiler has arrived and will be soon placed in position. The outside work is now so nearly completed that bad weather will not hinder much in the construction...

...meeting of the executive committee of the Princeton athletic association, a few nights ago, it was formally decided that there was an imperative need of a new base ball cage, and that the association should undertake to build one, if it could get sufficient help and encouragement from the undergraduates. Acting on a suggestion made by Professor Osburn it was decided to appoint two committees from the three associations which will be benefited by the cage, one committee to have charge of the construction of the building, and the other to raise the necessary funds.
