Hubbard, Binney and Perin stated their willingness to row on the fifth, with certain reservations if the race was rowed on the twelfth. Mr. Cabot was then nominated for the captaincy, but declined to serve under the circumstances, as the class could do absolutely nothing more until the decision of the executive committee was heard. Through a mistake in the manuscript the name of Mr. E. T. Cabot does not appear on the class-list among the individual members of the crew. By a similar mistake the name of Mr. C. M. Hammond was left out from among the football team. Notice is thus given, so that any one desiring pictures of these two gentlemen, in costume, may not be led by the error in the printed list to suppose that the pictures will not be furnished...

...meeting of the senior crew last evening Mr. Cabot refused to accept the captaincy; consequently another meeting will be held next Wednesday evening, at which another captain will be elected. Hubbard, Binney and Coolidge of last year's crew, and Cabot of last year's 'Varsity, will probably row this year. The vacancies will be filled from the following men: Baxter, Sessions, Codman, Tingle, Jacobs and Ranney. The crew will probably commence regular work some time late next week...
