...excellent football weather and also to the fact that so many of the team were given a rest Thursday. The preliminary work was largely devoted to lining up for punts, in order to give the linemen practice in breaking through and following the ends down the field. Burr, Leonard and Hall did most of the punting, Burr getting off some 65-yard kicks. In the scrimmage the first eleven scored once after eight minutes of play. The backs on the first eleven started fast, hit the line hard, and used good judgment in choosing holes. Carr played very well...
