EDITORS DAILY CRIMSON. -The request of the Cleveland men of the University, as expressed in a motion passed unanimously at their meeting Friday night, that the brass band and drum corps parade in the procession which is to march to the Independent rally in Boston next Wednesday evening, seems to me most reasonable and proper. The drum corps was organized to march in whatever procession the college should vote to turn out in, whether that should be the Republican or Democratic. The brass like-wise, would have paraded in the Democratic procession if such had been the decision...
...Republican rally in Union Hall, Cambridgeport, tonight, will be attended by the Blaine and Logan Club of the Law School in a bopy. The Republican committee have kindly offered an escort of a brass band and two companies of cadets. The procession will form in Harvard square at seven o'clock, and all student are cordially invited to join the Blaine and Logan Club in their march. Hayden, Republican...

It is intended to have it a strictly college affair so no hired band has been procured, music being furnished by the enormous drum corps and by the Harvard Brass Band, which has been increased in size and is working hard to bring itself into a state of perfection for that night. Transparencies ought to be as thick as flies upon the wall. This special feature of torchlight processions has always been carried to the highest state attainable...
...different class committees on uniforms will canvass their respective classes at once ; first, to find out the number who will march, exclusive of drum corps, brass band, and police force ; second, to obtain subscriptions for a general fund to provide fireworks and cover the necessary expenses...
