Beyond what satisfaction there is in knowing exactly when one is to be tortured, we cannot, however, see how this early announcement will make preparation materially easier. It is useless to attempt to take time needed for term work or for recreation in order to prepare for examinations to come in two months, or even in one month. Under our system, work for examinations can hardly be begun more than two weeks...
