When I was 17, I joined the Navy and was harassed by a recruiter. Now at 30, I still vividly recall the incident. I completely sympathize with these young women who are being taken advantage of. Mark Thompson's story has not the slightest hint that the women involved should bear any responsibility for their behavior. Here we have women who are 18 years of age, considered mature, yet apparently they cannot be held responsible for their decisions involving sex. Carissa Schaper chose to lie about her medical condition and become involved in an affair with a married sergeant, yet she is treated strictly as a victim.
