Graydon showed great eagerness to learn his new position, but had some difficulty in starting and keeping his feet, and several times he missed the signals. In the line Lawrence put plenty of life and strength in his charging, and Hollingsworth and Barnard were more successful than usual in opening holes. Farley had to retire early in the game with an injured ankle, but while he played he did fairly well. Clark, who took his place, got down quickly under punts and tackled low and hard.
