J., November 1, 1911.--The longest and hardest practice of the year was held on Osborne Field this afternoon, when the Princeton football team was put through a scrimmage of over an hour in length. Baker played a wonderful game in the backfield, but the line with the exceptions of Captain Hart, Duff, and Bluethenthal was again weak. Pendleton and Wilson were given a day's rest, not even appearing in football clothes. After the scrimmage the drop-kickers of the squad were given a long drill with rather unsatisfactory results...
Most of the high hopes which Brown enthusiasts had cherished as to the resisting power of their line were speedily dashed in the first five minutes of play.
