...marriage between Skerritt and Keaton is also an important aspect of the plot that is alluded to but quickly abandoned. Several times throughout the movie, the couple is pitted in conflicting roles concerning the strain of raising, and letting go of, Carla. This scenario is very real in such a complicated situation but unfortunately its importance is downplayed. The struggles are continually dissolved in a similar manner and without much angst. The personality of each character is no monotonously predictable and underdeveloped that the talents of Keaton and Skarritt are wasted upon them...

Before plunking down $27 per ticket, though, keep in mind that the Pudding Show is limited by its form: men in drag who make jokes about their private parts, even when they are frolicking in song, go only so far. A related aspect of the Pudding Show which bothers people each year is its exclusion of women. Does HPT violate the spirit of Harvard's non-discrimination policy? Probably. So should women be allowed to perform in the show? Probably not--if students and audiences believe the HPT form is worthwhile...

The premise: auction off dates with "desirable" first-years to raise money for newly established service organization, Boston Area Students Involved in the Community (BASIC). As highly charged emotions and bitter attacks on BASIC became the norm, one aspect emerged as particularly inflammatory. The implication was that the participants were the "hottest" that '02 had to offer. How could such a small group indiscriminately make this choice...
