Recitations and lectures were held from eight o'clock in the morning until four in the afternoon, three years being the original undergraduate course. The scriptures were carefully studied, and the ancient languages, Chaldee, Syriac, Greek and Latin, formed a large part of the curriculum. There was a goodly array of umbrellas on Jarvis Field, yesterday afternoon, about a thousand people being present, including many ladies. There was little wind, but the rain came down pretty steadily all through the game, making the ground and the ball hopelessly slippery. Harvard had the west end of the field and the kick off. Woodman led off with a run which did not last very long and Faulkner followed it with another, but the ball was lost to Wesleyan. Wesleyan kicked the ball up the field into Sears' hands.
