Susan A. Dunn '98 said Sever Hall's architecture "never struck me in any way," instead suggesting Memorial Church as more worthy of being recognized.
The lectures for Literature and Arts B-10, "Art and Visual Culture: Introduction to the Historical Study of Art and Architecture," are all videotaped. But the tapes are available to only one of the 297 students enrolled in the core course.
"For all of us, it was a privilege to work on a group of buildings and their surrounding landscape, which carry such a special significance in the history of Harvard, of American higher education, and of American architecture," Zeckhauser said.
"The original tower did not have a clock and I think [it] was a much better piece of architecture," said Campbell, who attended the Graduate School of Design. "There's a lot of nostalgia apparently for the clock tower."
