...boats for the Weld boat house are getting along finely. Mr. Davy has five lap-streaked four oars. This week he will have three singles finished. The four oars are nicely built and wellrigged in the modern manner. All five have exactly the same lines so that they can be used by crews to row against each other. The sliding seats are of the Kerns pattern and work splendidly while the outriggers are fitted with the Kerns pins. ...late hour Monday night a very sad accident befell Frederick Tudor, '91, as he was returning from Boston. He was riding on the front platform of an electric car, and in Cambridgeport he jumped off the car and ran along at its side for a short distance. He then tried to get on the front platform again while the car was in motion, but slipped and fell over, one foot falling on the track and being run over by the wheel. Tudor was carried immediately to the nearest station, and a surgeon examined his injured foot. Fearing that amputation...
