...part of our spring athletics and a source of much interest in the college. This year a peculiarly advantageous schedule had been arranged and an unusually successful series of games was expected. Only two games had been played when it was announced yesterday that the athletic committee would not allow the use of Jarvis for class games at present, because the whole field is needed for the practice of the University lacrosse team...
...Paul's School eleven, of Concord, N. H., will make a tour of Canada shortly after the school breaks up in June. The eleven will remain at the school several days after the breaking up, so as to allow some of its members to take their college examinations. During this time it is probable that some matches will be arranged with the Longwood and Lawrence clubs. The plan...
...scorers' table. The need of ampler space is evident. Last year at the championship games it was often the case that ten or fifteen reporters were obliged to score the game without having the slightest conveniences for their work. We hope that the management will not allow this state of affairs to continue another year. One at least, if not two, additional tables should be furnished for the use of the scorers. We speak of the matter thus early in order that plenty of time may be had for making the needed improvements...
