But the Twins had all these sluggers last year, and still finished in sixth place, a living testimony to the maxim that pitching is 75 per cent of baseball. Only Camilo Pascual (15-12) and Jim Kaat (17-11) had decent seasons, and unless Minnesota comes up with another reliable pitcher, they won't be able to finish higher than fifth...
