The former was, held with bad weather conditions, but Torrey did the 100 yard dash in 9 4-5 seconds and Parsons did the had mile in 2 minutes and a fraction of a second--a remarkable performance. The Princeton meet was a rather tame affair but interesting as being the first intercollegiate event since the Pennsylvania games.
