Horween attempted a place-kick from the 35 yard mark but failed. Bates soon lost the ball again to N. V. Nelson, Occ., who intercepted a forward pass on their 25 yard line and went over for the fourth touchdown of the game. At this point J. Holmes, Jr. '21 replaced C. A. Clark Jr., Occ., at left guard. Church drove across the line 30 seconds after the whistle for the first score on the second half. Humphrey brought the score to 40-0 by kicking the goal from the touchdown. After the kick-off Bates lost the ball to the University on downs. Three rushes carried the ball to the Bates 20 yard line. Hamilton then tried for a field goal, without success. Bates then punted to Humphrey who carried the ball 50 yards for another score. Church kicked the goal...
