...laugh multiple times, but try your best to suspend your disbelief and not attempt to figure out the plot twists, such as they are.  Though “Valentine’s Day” works well as a fluffy date movie, from a critical standpoint, not even a great cast can elevate the insubstantial and thoroughly contrived storyline...

...like is the idea of having to pay a financial-crisis-responsibility fee for the next decade, as Obama has proposed to recoup TARP loans to AIG, the auto industry and smaller banks. Economists I know don't think that idea is either fair or sensible from a policy standpoint...

Moreover, from an economic standpoint, should Google be forced to leave China, its departure may raise discontent among Chinese consumers who desire Google products and cause them to direct their anger at the government for driving the company away. Such a development would not necessarily cause monumental change in the government’s policies, but it would be a step in the right direction...
