...Gist:Barlow is not a half-assed carnivore. An expatriate Brit who relocated to the Galician town of his Spaniard wife, he launches himself on a foolhardy mission: travel around northwest Spain and eat as much pig as possible. Snout, marrow, heart, bladder, head-all of it. Along the way, he tells the tale of Galicia, a cold, rainy, and stubbornly independent piece of Spain on the Atlantic Ocean. It is "a patchwork of small, low-intensity farms...real working countryside" and home to Don Quixote's Miguel de Cervantes, longtime Spanish dictator General Francisco Franco, and the Castro family...

...excused for failing to share in the sport's enthusiasm for Hamilton's stunning rookie year. Accusations flying (Alonso felt the British team was favoring the Brit Hamilton despite Alonso's superior status), the pair got themselves to a place from which there was no way back, and the Spaniard has returned to Renault, where he won his titles in 2005-'06 but may be facing a lean year based on early results...

...there were few surprises. Oscar shoo-in Javier Bardem picked up the award for best supporting actor, thanking "the mommy and daddy of [directors], Joel and Ethan Coen." The Spaniard acted as if he really wasn't expecting to win, despite having already won every award going - and probably some that haven't even been invented yet - for his villain in No Country for Old Men. The leading actor award went to Daniel Day-Lewis, whose speech seemed designed to show everyone that he's not really as scary as he comes across on screen in There Will Be Blood...
