After weeks of mystery, authorities in East Texas have arrested two men they believe are responsible for burning down a church in Smith County, about 90 miles (145 km) east-southeast of Dallas. The arrests (thanks to a telephone tip) are the first in a federal investigation prompted by unexplained fires at 10 unaffiliated churches in the state this year--all of which have been blamed on arson.
