Yale played a sharp game in the field. Goodwin played finely, his throwing being especially good. Ayer and Tuttle played well, and Hickox, though rather wild, was very effective. They were with the exception of Ayer and Sheppard, entirely unable to hit Baker. Harvard, with the exception of the slight flurry in the fifth inning, played a steady and brilliant fielding game.
