Considerable interest has been manifested in the question of the right of the overseers of Harvard College to pass the vote which is now on record, that in view of the disturbances which occur upon college grounds during commencement week, and the public scandal and evil to the college resulting therefrom, the corporation hold themselves at liberty to revoke the degree of any graduate of the university for participating in such disturbances, provided he has not held the degree for more than one week.
