The Examining Committee have reported that Analytical Geometry is too difficult a study for that class, and that a further diminution of mathematics in the Freshman year would be advisable. The Committee also recommend that Junior Logic and Themes be introduced into the curriculum of the Freshman year, thus supplanting the for the most part painful and useless study of Triangles and Hyperbolae in favor of English studies which are indispensable to the education of even moderately informed persons.
