...Northfield Student Conferences began more than 40 years ago at Mt. Hermon, and were moved the next year to East Northfield where they have been held ever since. Many similar organizations have been established in other portions of the country with great success. The complete personnel of the Harvard delegation has not yet been determined upon. Elmer P. Kohler, professor of chemistry at the University, and Arthur A. Noyes, director of the Research Laboratory of Physical Chemistry at M. I. T., are the local representatives on the Research Fellowship Board of the National Research Council, the personnel of which has just been announced. The board is to have administration of a plan under which the Rockefeller Foundation has undertaken to co-operate with the Council in the promotion of fundamental research in physics and chemistry.
