All was quiet for several weeks until a large web site devoted to the grapplin' game caught wind of the story and whipped legions of loyal fans into a frenzy by misquoting a TIME spokesman as saying that we had removed Foley because "he had made no significant contribution to society." ...Mr. Starbucks was in the bathroom at a branch of the coffee chain and somehow managed to become stuck, if you get my meaning, in between the toilet and seat. (I'm somewhat embarrassed even to be recounting or summarizing this story.) As a result of the incident which led to his injury, he has filed suit against Starbucks. Some accounts say he and his wife may now be unable to have children. He reportedly wants $1 million for himself--and another $500,000 for her. (Why does she get only half what he gets? Go figure...

Just getting Slinky the Dog, Rex the Dinosaur and Mr. Potato Head across a busy street is a task of Schwarzeneggerian proportions--but funny. Pixar's improved computer animation is up to all the demands of this excellent adventure...

...suits, lu Cont walked out with Jo Reynolds, his good-looking blonde guitarist and proceeded to launch into a robotic dance. Perhaps it would be better described as a winking, ironic take on dancing: efforts to banish thoughts of that Volkswagen commercial where the guys dance to Styx's "Mr Roboto"(or my actual efforts in to do the same dance in the '80s) failed. In any case, it was the start of a show, all right. Lu Cont and Reynolds had chemistry and were having a laugh camping it up, shrugging their shoulders to the beat. In the background...
