While bossing the Berlin airlift, Major General William H. Tunner -often thought of what the ideal military cargo plane should be like. The two-year-old Council of Profit Sharing Industries was holding its annual meeting, and it had plenty of figures to back up its slogan. Author Clare Barnes Jr., art director for the big Manhattan advertising agency of Benton & Bowles, got his idea while looking through a batch of animal photographs for an ad campaign last summer.
