...world's largest milk producer. Dairy products account for about one-sixth of all E.U. farm produce by value and about 8% of all agriculture exports. But European milk prices have plummeted 40% over the past six months, to around €0.25 ($0.36) per liter, less than the cost of production, according to Copa-Cogeca, a European farmers' association. The group says the price collapse will cost dairy farmers about €10 billion ($14.6 billion) this year alone. (See pictures of cow-pooling...

After the safety scandal broke, Coke and Pepsi relied on small bottles and cut-rate prices to woo customers. The small packages boosted sales but hurt profitability for the companies and their bottlers. In 2005, Singh increased prices 40% to 60% and later introduced new packaging, like 1.25-liter bottles, which boosted in-home consumption. A pledge to return that money to taxpayers through various new rebates has so far failed to win over the public; two thirds of voters opposed...

Like its predecessor, you can get a Camaro in different sizes of vroom. The lower-end LS model features a 300-hp, 3.4-liter, V-6 engine that goes from 0 to 60 m.p.h. in 6.1 seconds. The higher-priced SS model, which I drove, has a 6.2-liter, V-8 engine that tops out at 426 hp and cuts the time to 4.7 seconds to reach 60 m.p.h. Is the twitch-quick Mustang GT a little more responsive off the mark? Maybe, but running the Camaro through second, third and fourth gears will quickly, very quickly, make you forget...
