Most Iranian commentators do not think so. Although House Foreign Affairs Committee chairman Howard Berman called Kyl and Lieberman's Iran Refined Petroleum Sanctions Act "a sword of Damocles" hanging over the Iranians, the view from Tehran is quite different. ...Israel Taking Down Lieberman After a lengthy corruption probe, Israeli police recommended that the state charge Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman with a battery of crimes, including bribery, fraud, money-laundering and obstruction of justice. ...Minority Affairs Avishay Braverman suggested this week that Barghouti be released to help strengthen the hand of Israel's Palestinian peace partner, it remains unlikely that Netanyahu's right-wing government will free a man convicted for the death of five people.
