Claflin, Jr., '15, who, it is expected, will be head coach of the University hockey team this year, although his appointment has not yet been confirmed by the Athletic Committee. Claflin was captain of the 1915 University seven which twice defeated Yale, thus taking the series for that year. He played on the University team at cover-point for three years, and also filled that position on his Freshman team...

Coach Claflin is a disciple of the type of hockey that was originated and taught by Alfred Winsor '02. Yale, at least, will be well practiced in the six-man style of play if the team makes its proposed trip to Canada during the Christmas vacation. At the plans now stand at Yale, the hockey team will make the longest trip yet undertaken by an American college seven to play games in Montreal and Toronto with McGill and Toronto universities...

No call has yet been issued at New Haven for the hockey squad, but captain Ingalls will call the squad together within the next few days.
