Military drill will probably be given up at Stanford University owing to the small amount of interest shown by the students. The drill has hitherto been conducted by an officer of the regular army who has been specially detailed for the purpose, and every inducement has been offered to make the course popular. Formerly, students who took drill received credit for two hours. Now but one hour's credit is given, and only five applicants for the course appeared at the beginning of the term. The officer in charge will probably hand in his resignation at once...
