...HARVEY To Bring You My Love (Island). This utterly graceless singer is a favorite of the rock press. But her hopelessly mannered CD--with its distorted vocals and theatrical emotionality--is for musical masochists only. In the world of experimental pop, Bjork's whimsically wonderful Post and The Rebirth of Cool: Vol. 3, featuring Portishead and Tricky, are more daring and eclectic...

POOR RICHARD NIXON: THE MOST human President of the television age. A better statesman than politician, a tireless but graceless campaigner, a successful salesman who was liked but not well liked, the man seemed uncomfortable in his own skin. The canniest moments in the three-plus hours of Nixon, Oliver Stone's dense, ultimately disappointing biopic, capture Nixon at his most pathetically endearing--the Commander in Chief as klutz. In a telling vignette lifted from Woodward and Bernstein's The Final Days, Nixon (Anthony Hopkins) gets so frustrated at his inability to remove a medicine safety cap that he finally...

...plie arabesques, it is masterfully danced by Trinidad Sevillano, as the adolescent Princess Aurora. David Walker's superb costume and set design also majestically frame this scene. Unfortunately, this act also includes Carla Stalling's failure as the Queen to both act and dance, and the repetition of odd, graceless flittery arm choreography by the court fairies. The Lilac Fairy saves her by putting...

What happened? For two years, Nick and I have enjoyed our graceless goodnights, but tonight, Nick came into my room when I was already in bed. He sat down and looked straight into my eyes, which already threw me off, because usually Nick can't look anyone directly in the the eye for too long without getting nervous...

...theater to dance. In a spirit that combines a touch of Shakespearean drama with Hasty Pudding theatricals, the ever predictable evil stepsisters are not so predictable. In the first scene of Act I, the stepsisters enter the stage dauntingly tall, grotesquely covered in makeup, and shockingly clumsy, heavy and graceless. If this contrast to the traditional, petite, lithesome ballerina did not tune one in, the exposure of bulging arms and gigantic hands by the middle of the act confirm that these step "sisters", brilliantly performed by Todd Eric Allen and Howard Merlin, are simply not women...
