...things the website does do is shatter assumptions that the five Nobel panelists who made the decision must all be white-haired Norwegian gentlemen so cut off from reality they could have never anticipated the shock their selection would cause. First off, four of the committee members are women, with chairman Thorbjørn Jagland, the only male in the bunch. Like Jagland - a former premier and foreign minister of Norway - most members have had held cabinet posts or have otherwise been involved in politics; their ages range from 58 to 68. But it's hard to draw any theories...

Thank heavens someone finally stepped forward to fill this gaping void in the journalistic landscape...

A 1979 article in TIME noted that Kennedy's "private peccadilloes" had sparked a major editorial debate among Washington news organizations about the public relevance of private behavior in advance of the 1980 elections. In 1990, Gentlemen's Quarterly published an exposé on the subject of Kennedy's drinking and womanizing with girls in their 20s. The story recounted a number of embarrassing incidents, including one in which Kennedy was allegedly discovered by a restaurant waitress having sex with a female lobbyist on the floor...
