...farms I saw as a rural veterinarian achieved the degree of cow care we have been able to provide on our current "factory farm." None converted their manure to electricity or took advantage of new, more environmentally friendly technologies. The modern direction of large-scale animal operations is to employ skilled professionals in all areas to better care for animals, the environment and the consumer.
