With regard to the present plans of the Park Commission, little has as yet been accomplished. Near Boylston street improvements have been made, and also opposite Longfellow Park. A speedway, for which there has been some demand, will probably run from the corner of Market street, just this side of the abattoir, across the marshes to the northwest corner of Soldiers Field. As this would be a mile drive, over level marshes, with no cross roads, it would make an excellent speedway.
